Location: High Wycombe, also covering Brize Norton

Salary: Competitive + Company car/car allowance + Benefits

Hours of work: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, Permanent

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Reactive Repairs Manager to successfully deliver the day-to-day repair service for VIVO's Accomodation contract in High Wycombe and Brize Norton, ensuring performance and budget targets are monitored and met using an internal self-delivery team and external specialist contractors.

 

As part of your role, you will ensure performance and budget targets and the requirements of health and safety compliance are achieved, develop and deliver an effective project management approach to support business change and business improvement plans and proactively identify new opportunities for efficiencies in service delivery and improved Value for Money, whilst maintaining a high-quality service, lead the direct service team and sub-contractors to manage and maintain the property assets and provide excellent repairs, servicing, grounds maintenance services to all customers and stakeholders, and work proactively with key partners and stakeholders to create a collaborative approach to deliver a first-class service, in line with our bid promises.

 

In order to achieve this, you will communicate regularly and clearly with customers on the progress of works

 

You will also have profit and loss responsibility for the service to effectively manage delegated budgets ensuring monthly monitoring of spend, trend analysis, exception reporting and remedial actions for any under/overspend, as well as the responsibility of compiling, as required, statistical data including performance indicators; analysing results, identify trends and implementing appropriate actions, and managing and delivering effective performance management of the team to ensure both team and individual performance targets are established, monitored, and managed, reporting on KPIs and collating and submitting statistical returns.

 

We are keen for our Reactive Repairs Manager to create and maintain a supportive, fair and positive culture within which team members are motivated and can develop and maximise their skills and abilities.

 

You will be responsible for the reactive repairs and maintenance for approximately 5000 units across the 2 sites, with 3 direct reports consisting of 2 supervisors and a stores coordinator, and in direct responsibility for 32 multi skilled operatives, plus sub contractors.

 

 

What You Need To Do The Job

 

First and foremost you should be an experienced people manager from a reactive repairs/maintenance environment within Housing.

It is also important that you have experience in leading and managing a multi discipline team and sub contractor supply chain, with practice in undertaking one-to-ones PDRs, disciplinary procedures, etc and proven success in working to continuous improvement.

 

You should hold a Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent) and an industry relevant qualification such as CIOB/RICS or other technical qualifications.

 

This role is subject to SC Clearance.
