And right now, we have an opportunity to recruit for a Route Planning Lead to design effective and innovative driving route solutions for our Environmental Services Contract.
Reporting to the Performance & Director you will form strong links and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure that the delivery solutions are aligned to the needs of the customer; operationally informed; commercially viable; and offer a lean and effective processes.
This role will see you using software such as Whitespace and Webaspx as well as drawing on your broader industry knowledge to interpret data alongside customer requirements to design technical routing and re-routing proposals.

What you'll need to do the role
First and foremost, you will use your experience within the Waste industry or similar industries such as logistics or transport to work closely with project leads in the development of routing solutions.
You will be a natural team player who can communicate well across multiple teams and developing projects. Although this role is mainly homebased you will be required to travel across the UK to visit contracts and support in the mobilisation of routes with an enthusiastic hands on approach.
This role will see you using your analytical skills and strong IT skills to undertake research and utilise route software to produce optimised routes for contracts on a rolling basis.
