Our client is a small but rapidly expanding company located in Swanley, Kent, specializing in supplying and servicing traction batteries for large hybrid and electric vehicles, particularly buses. In fact, they're currently contracted to maintain the batteries for a fleet of 1,000 new Routemaster buses in London.
We're on the lookout for an electrical engineer with previous Team Leadership/ Managerial experience who can thrive in both field service and workshop roles.
What Your Role Involves:
Workshop Responsibilities:
- Based in the Swanley workshop, you'll be tasked with the meticulous disassembly and repair of high-voltage batteries (600V).
- Providing remote diagnostics and support to their valued customers.
- As Senior Engineer, you will lead the team
Field Service Responsibilities:
- Traveling to customer sites within London, across the UK, and occasionally in Europe to address on-site service requirements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Full UK driving license.
- Strong electrical and electronics skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- While high-voltage experience is advantageous, it's not essential, as we provide comprehensive training.
- A willingness to travel, primarily within the M25 and as needed throughout the UK and Europe.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift battery modules.
- A highly flexible attitude, perfect for our ever-changing work environment.
