The Job Opportunity

Serco is currently looking to hire a Senior Energy Engineer whose role will entail role managing accredited Energy Service Company (ESCO) projects, combined with elements of Big Data & Artificial Intelligence analysis reporting to the Engineering Manager or Head of the Department.

 

The key purpose of this role is to provide Energy Management leadership and expertise and enhance Serco Middle East business growth opportunity. To research, develop and propose Innovative Technology based systems and solutions offering multiple scenarios to support winning good business, operational excellence and executing brilliantly.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Collaborate, support and manage sustainable strategies and energy optimisation services
  • Perform value engineering through the calculation of potential energy savings opportunities.
  • Energy, water & waste management of the facilities to meet set targets agreed with the Client. 
  • Develop Quality Measurement of Performance reporting procedures in Energy Management and Sustainability projects. 
  • Carryout continuous energy monitoring of all the Client buildings, facilities, analyse the data collected and report to the Client on a monthly basis.
  • Carry out energy audit on annual basis as per ASHRAE II or III.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports analysis the energy consumption breakdown with root cause analysis.

 

What we are looking for in our candidates:

We are looking for some who has proven Leadership qualities and has the capacity to influence change. The ideal candidate should have a stong  background in Energy Management & Sustainability project delivery, a capable Innovator with quality skills in research and development of process and operational excellence material, must be experienced in Technology and Innovation concepts and modelling and strong analytical capability to manage and interpret data.

 

Specific requirements

  • Degree holder in electrical or mechanical engineering. 
  • CEM or CEA or CMVP, preferably a member and certified with AEE (Association of Energy Engineers. 
  • Certification in LEED GA (AP in O+M will be added advantage)
  • Strongly knowledge of Estidama Pear rating systems (PQP certification will be added advantage)
  • Strong knowledge in relevant ASHRAE, EN & CIBSE standards & Strong knowledge in ISO 50001 & 140001 standards.
  • Strong practical knowledge in various BMS communication protocol.
  • Six Sigma or Equivalent qualified is an advantage. 
  • Knowledge in use of Power BI or IBM Tririga will be an added advantage.
  • 7 years minimum experience, working in a technical and solutions environment.
  • 5 years minimum work experience as an energy engineer
  • Experience assisting Clients to obtain LEED accreditation would be a distinct advantage
