Aether is a niche environmental consultancy that specialises in the compilation, reporting, and review of air pollutant and greenhouse gas emission inventories, emission projections and policies and measures for specific sectors, cities, regions and countries. Our clients include the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), UK Local Authorities, the European Commission and the European Environment Agency, as well as international donors and national governments in developed and developing countries. As a result of the growth of our transport sector business, we are offering the opportunity for a Senior/Principal Consultant to join our team.
Aether is seeking candidates with technical experience of estimating emissions from transport and mobile machinery as well as policy formation and evaluation of policy effectiveness. The successful candidate will work with our company Directors and other members of the team working on the delivery of our portfolio of transport projects and winning new projects. The role offers excellent career development opportunities to lead your own area of business, broaden and expand our customer base, and develop innovative customer focussed products and services.
Required Experience and Skills
??? Educated to at least degree level in a scientific subject (MSc preferred);
??? Previous experience of working in an environmental consulting environment, with specific experience in the transport sector;
??? 5-10 years' experience in the transport sector with an extensive track record of working with transport emissions data;
??? Good commercial skills, gained through business development, client engagement and winning new projects;
??? Excellent customer facing and stakeholder engagement skills, preferably with an existing network of contacts;
??? A strong track record of project management and delivery including written reports, provision of datasets and delivery of presentations.
