About the role
As a Service Technicians you will support Hospital Employees and Personnel in the use of various technologies, provide remote monitoring and scheduling, planned and reactive maintenance to a range of technical assets, as well as providing training to users of all levels. Our Audio Visual (AV) service provides AV equipment for the hospital to support video-conferencing, telemedicine, teaching and training, conference rooms and clinical spaces. 

The Patient Entertainment System (PES) is an integrated bedside device which provides entertainment, information and communication facilities to the patient and the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) provide autonomous transportation services to the linen, supplies and supports other FM operational activities.

About you
As an experienced Service Technician you will have proven success in service delivery in a technical environment. You will have the highest levels of integrity and take pride in resolving customer problems with a sense of urgency. You will demonstrate proactive teamwork and collaboration with others as well as the ability to work independently.  You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of digital and high-definition systems, including HD projection and video distribution.
  • Knowledge in media/content platforms, (Video Asset Management-Content Management Systems).
  • A working knowledge of IPTV, video codecs, encoding/transcoding, video file formats aspect ratios and understanding of file-based workflows.
  • High level computer skills, digital media, web and editing experience would be highly regarded (Mac/PC).
  • A high level understanding of system schematics and operation manuals.
  • Understanding and basic troubleshooting of ICT networks.
  • Takes personal responsibility for resolving customer problems.
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, consultation and negotiation skills, and ability to produce detailed written reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, maintaining operational output requirements.
  • Sound knowledge and demonstrated understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Framework principles.

 

Qualifications and Desirable Skills

  • Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)
  • Crestron accreditation or third-party control system (desirable)
  • Infocomm accreditation (desirable)
  • ITIL Certifications (desirable)
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience working with professional audio-visual systems, video conferencing or patient entertainment systems
