The Skills Administrator is a key role in supporting the future success of STS and will support with processes required to administer all programmes and to ensure we meet regulatory and contractual obligations.

 

As Skills Administrator you will work with colleagues to support the meeting of tight deadlines and always maintain a high standard of customer service.

 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of relevant email mailboxes, responding to and / or escalating queries as necessary
  • Responding to phone queries from customers and/or learners, escalating as necessary
  • Booking tutors for courses and coordination of learning material to support delivery
  • Registering learners with awarding bodies, and administration of awarding body approvals
  • Updating learner data as necessary using dedicated learner management systems such as PICS
  • Preparing and despatching certificates of completion
  • Liaising with delivery partner organisations and subcontractors, including onboarding, issuing of contracts and variations
  • Maintaining accurate records, policies, processes for internal assurance and external audits and inspections

 

 

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Ideally you will already be working as a Skills Administrator or similar
  • Minimum NVQ L3 Business Administration or similar experience
  • Computer literate (MS Office including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to use own initiative, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate using a variety of communication methods
  • An enhanced DBS and BPSS
  • National travel may be required for team meetings/training and to meet with apprentices/learners, alongside use of video conferencing and other virtual means.
