The 4 delivery squads in the Promotions Group are responsible for delivering product-agnostic promotional and on-site notification capabilities to our portfolio of products. You will be providing technical leadership, architectural design rigour and forward roadmap guidance for the ongoing evolution of these capabilities.
The current architecture is an event-based microservices model. Kafka is used as the event state store, with a plethora of JVM-based microservices (Scala or Kotlin) deployed on Rancher and Kubernetes. These services provide the required functionality to handle promotion eligibility, opt-in, qualification, cash and reward fulfilment and communication of progress back to the customer with robust operational controls. We believe in providing fair, clear and exciting promotions to our customers in a responsible way, for example avoiding the use of mechanisms like wagering requirements to artificially inflate marketing offer headlines.

Additionally, as a senior technology role, applicants are expected to be capable of providing strong technical leadership skills whilst also having robust experience as an architect or senior developer. You will report to the Head of Architecture & Engineering.
As a Solution Architect you work as a member of the wider Gaming architecture team, but also embed yourself directly alongside the squads you provide architecture services to.
