Specialist Logistics Operative- Secure Contracts

Full time, 40 hours - 8:30am- 5pm (Mon-Fri)
£30,000 Per Annum, base salary, plus £3000 pro rata payment for handling licensed products
Based in Lincolnshire, we have two vacancies for Specialist Logistic Operative's to join our team.
This is a blended warehouse and courier role, the post holder will be required to undertake all aspects of warehousing including goods in/goods out, stock movement, stock control, quality assurance, asset management and database control. The role also requires the post holder to undertake driving duties in a light commercial vehicle to collect and deliver client assets nationwide, as well as providing off site logistical support to colleagues and clients as directed. The role includes responsibility for the movement, storage and auditing of specialist licensed products including but not restricted to firearms, ammunition, and controlled drugs. The post will also involve very occasional overnight stops in hotels provided by Serco.
The post holder is part of a small team of predominantly 6 people reporting to the Logistics Co-ordinator, who in turn reports to the Operations Manager.
They will be responsible for delivering the day to operations as part of a small team of administrative and logistics personnel.
The successful post holder will also undertake delivery and collections using light commercial vehicles.
Another key responsibility they will have is to be a building keyholder (they must have the ability to respond to alarm activations out of hours as part of an on-call roster)
It is very important to note that this role will have responsibility for the safe movement, storage and accounting for firearms, ammunition, and controlled drugs in a licensed facility.
They will be required to carry out any other reasonable duties as required to deliver secure logistics services
What you need to do the job
The post holder will be proficient in the use of MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. The position requires a good degree of numeracy and literacy and the ability to collate reporting information from the site asset management system.
The post holder must have at least 3 years' experience in a logistics or driving role and will have a clean and current driving licence.
The post holder will be working on a secure contract and will be required to undergo and attain enhanced Police vetting, a process which is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders' act.
