To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for an exciting new role as a Sport and Disability coordinator to join the centre.


Stoke Mandeville Stadium is the National Centre for Disability Sport and boasts the highest grade of facilities for our leading sportsmen and women. 


Reporting to the Contract Manager, this a key role in delivering the Disability Strategy for the business.  There will be a particular emphasis on the coordination and support of the Disability programme at Stoke Mandeville and the local community, administrating new and existing Inclusive Sports membership, with support from the sales and front-of-house team and reporting and delivering on inclusive sports funding KPI's at Stoke Mandeville and the wider community.


Your key responsibilities will be:


  • Coordinate and promote Inclusive Sports Programmes in line with the wider business objectives that underpins core sports development principals in the centres.
  • Deliver weekly coaching sessions on the Inclusive Sports Programme.
  • To support staff involved in the delivery of Inclusive Sports Programme, this includes control of costs associated with programme delivery.
  • To assist in establishing and maintaining a network of sports leaders and coaches who will provide opportunities for participation.
  • Monitor, evaluate and present analysis, reports and information on all Inclusive Sports Programme, using the agreed format regarding delivery against targets. 
  • To attend meetings to provide progress reports (participation and revenue) and an overview of growth plans.
  • To comply with policies and procedures and ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met and upheld.
  • Support marketing and promotion of all Inclusive Sports Programme via the marketing teams and use of social media.
  • To undertake any other appropriate duties as may be allocated from time to time in accordance with the general nature of the post and to undertake further training as required.

About you


The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Stoke Mandeville, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when needed.


You will have experience of developing inclusive sport and recreational programmes within a commercially focused environment.  Experience in people management and a track record of delivering both participation and financial outcomes. Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work legislation and employment law.
