Due to the expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Vendor Management Coordinator. The Vendor Management function develops strong working relationships between Serco, its customers and 3rd parties. It promotes best practice procurement across Business Process Services (local government), managing contract life cycles and 3rd party performance.

The Vendor Management Coordinator (VM Coordinator) provides support on contract administration, purchasing, procurement and billing services to Local Government Partnerships.

You will be the main point of contact for routine service provided via 3rd party contracts. 


Key Accountabilities

  • Provide and update internal communications and guidance on how to order goods/services.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with 3rd parties. Track performance and flag potential issues to the Head of Vendor Management or Corporate Procurement Team.
  • Adhere to corporate procurement guidelines. Follow best practice principles when undertaking procurement activity. Report any non-compliance to Head of Vendor Management or Group Procurement.
  • Assist the Head of Vendor Management with procurement activity and undertake contract renewals in line with corporate policy.
  • Raise orders via SAP Guided Buying
  • Raise customer invoices.
  • Minute taking
  • Record working hours by type of work undertaken in SAP on a daily basis.



What you'll need to do the role

You will need excellent attention to detail, strong Customer Service skills and have an administration background where you have, raised PO's, taken minutes, and built strong relationships with suppliers.

You will need to hold a good understanding of procurement/purchasing.


As this role is homes based you will also need to be able to work efficiently from your home office.
