Location: Quarry Leisure Centre, SY1 1RU

Working Hours: 15 per week, with the opportunity to pick up teaching hours for a larger contract

Salary: £11.50 per hour

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Swimming Co-ordinator to join the centre.

 

Working at Quarry Leisure Centre, the successful Swimming Co-ordinator will implement and control on-site administration, contributing to the operation and development of the Swimming Lesson programme and have responsibility for the safety and skill advancement of the pupils in your care.  

 

On a day to day basis your duties will include, assist with objectives to increase the number of participants for the swimming lesson programme, deliver marketing materials with regards to current and forthcoming swimming lesson offers, input/update computerised swimming lesson booking system, assess Swim teachers to ensure compliance with teaching/administration processes, instruct individuals/groups in line with the Learn to Swim scheme for swimming or other aquatic activities, provide schemes of work and lesson plans and promote and support the swimming lesson scheme

 

 

About you

 

To be considered for this role you will need to hold a minimum of either a Swim England level 2 or STA Award qualification. Its is also desirable that you hold a qualification in water safety/lifesaving (NPLQ, NRASTC).

 

You will have excellent customer service skills as you'll be interacting heavily with our customers and your team of Swimming Teachers. So, whether you've earned that experience in a leisure or another customer facing environment, you'll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.

 

Lastly, you will have good basic finance, IT, and clerical/administrative skills and extensive and up to date knowledge of current swim teaching practices and safety requirements for management of swimming lessons.
