Serco have an exciting opportunity for an Team Leader to join the team at the Defence Academy based in Shrivenham. The Headquarters J6 Information Services team is responsible for strategy and governance of Information Systems and Services within the Defence Academy. The Team Leader will be responsible for the delivery of Information Hub (iHub) services across the Defence Academy. The role has Management/Line Management responsibility for the iHub and the staff members within, including the department operation, recruitment of staff, allocation of work to the team and monitoring of absence, performance, well-being and learning and development requirements (to include coaching and mentoring).
The role is customer embedded with workload and direction provided by our customer. The individual must therefore be able to balance customer delivery direction with Serco delivery standards whilst maintaining a high performing team.
Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and the majority of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions.
