London's public bike sharing scheme is available 24/7, 365 days a year. The scheme recently expanded to South West London so now you can saddle up anywhere from Shepherds Bush to Canary Wharf and Wandsworth Town to Camden Town.

 

This role will see you deliver the first line of management for On Street employees providing a consistent link with managers, the wider operation and overall BMS contract, develop and maintain a high level of understanding of On Street bike triage and repair, Planned Project delivery, planned training schedules and PDA, Maximo implementation and usage.

 

You will also reguarly supervise on street and provide 1:1 feedback to employees, provide cover for Mobile Operatives and Drivers as and when required, carry out Absence Management tasks including Stage 1 meetings and outcomes, monitoring attendance data and highlighting issues to the supervisory team, carrying out disciplinary and grievance investigations, lead recruitment processes, work with Fleet and Facilities Managers to ensure minor vehicle maintenance is completed in a timely manner and monitor and supervise during probationary periods and conduct probationary reviews.

 

Other aspects of the role will include coaching and mentoring, providing training where needed for team members and colleagues, developing and maintaining a broad understanding of the KPI regime, in particular relating to full and empty stations, leading improvements on non-contractual KPIs such as attendance and raising purchase orders and ensuring relevant invoices are appropriately receipted.

 

This is a role that is vital to the success of the Cycle Hire Scheme and we are looking for candidates that take great pride in their work and are committed to being the best ambassadors for the Cycle Hire Service.

 

You won't be doing this alone either. Our team is made up of professional, friendly, and supportive teammates, including managers who began their careers with Serco as Team Leaders who now hold Contract Manager and Senior Contract Manager titles and who will provide guidance and advice to ensure you achieve all that you want to with Serco.

 

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

To be considered for a position within our team, you will be a high energy, motivating person, with a full UK driving licence, experience in transport related operational delivery and experience in a logistical management/supervisory environment.

 

You should have a good understanding of KPIs, strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools and the confidence to lead briefing sessions and talk to teams of people. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
