Contract: Full Time, Permanent 
Location: Porton Down, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP4 0JQ
Working Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM

 

Here at VIVO we are looking for a Technical Services Coordinator to support the technical services team and operational delivery staff, along with offering technical support and working closely with the Head of Technical Services, Built Estate Managers and Senior Authorised Persons. 
 
You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of compliance activity in relation to the delivery of building services, ensuring they are compliant with the relevant British Standards.

 

You will also be responsible for the close out of corrective actions, open incident reports, and significant site issues, ensuring they are closed effectively and within the set time scales. As part of this, you will be working with the technical administration team to maintain internal records with technical documentation and compliance records.
 

We are looking for someone ambitious and forward thinking, who will be able to work closely with the Head of Technical Services to identify and deliver improvements to existing processes and who will support in driving strategy to create an engaging and safe environment for both building users and the customer.   

 

As part of this role you will be undertaking tasks such as; ensuring the timely receipt of compliance certification, coordinating reviews of all inspection reports and certification relating to infrastructure and building service inspections, raising necessary remedial tasking and ensuring they are correctly identified and carried out, and managing and maintaining building operating and maintenance records and documentation. 

 

You will also be managing key specialist supply chain partners, and liaising with the DSTL end user, facilities managers, and other key stakeholders along with the technical services and operations team on the site. 

   
What you'll need to do this role   

 

Firstly, you will have either a Mechanical or Electrical qualification, ideally having experience in a multi skilled background. You will also need experience working with either a mechanical, electrical or any other management system. You will need knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements, including COSHH and RIDDOR. You will need to have demonstrable experience in managing contractors' maintenance and/or a construction environment.

 

As this role will include communicating with individuals and teams across all levels of the business, along with the customer and supply chain, you will need to be a strong, confident communicator with experience in a people facing role. 

 

It is desirable that you hold an SMTS, and essential if you don't that you are willing to upskill towards one. It is also desirable that you have an accredited health and safety qualification.

 

This role will require you to travel to remote sites weekly therefore it is essential that you hold a clean and valid UK driving licence or can travel to remote locations without the use of public transport. 

 

It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility.    
   
You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
