Job Description
The Tool Room Lead is responsible for the oversight and day to day staff management of toolmakers and tooling asset control of ~26,000 jigs and fixtures.
This role includes leading the completion of technical tool room activities and project support within the tool room, tooling maintenance and tooling audit function.
Reporting to the Military, RTW & Legacy Assembly ME Manager the Tool Room Lead is responsible for ensuring the internal value stream and customers' needs are met regarding the safe storage and asset management for military and civil programs. This role ensures both internal and external communication and coordination at all business levels to ensure projects (ToW, NPI, Refurbishment Work packages) are executed in line with the departmental priorities/business needs. The role also works in collaboration with site configuration and the core manufacturing technical teams in supporting manufacturing document on is managed within the MCS and CMAS and WQN systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
This is a key cross functional position, with interaction among all onsite support functions and the supplier base that will drive cross-functional execution to exceed milestone and program targets for NPIs and Industrialisation and sustaining tooling activities.
