Working with high tech equipment, much of your job will require skills in information technology, computers and electronics.
You may be required to climb into tight spaces or up heights to make repairs on radio equipment. You should have good communication skills as your job may include reporting problems to supervisors and customers. You will be taught new skills and learn about specific communication systems in use and systems about to be installed.
You will also learn about remote systems and how to deal with alarms and faults. Vehicle installations and using test equipment.
Training courses will be supplied to the successful candidate which will be structured throughout this 3-year trainee program with the view of becoming a Radio Technician and possibly moving on to achieving the qualifications and experience to become a Radio Engineer.
