Here at Serco, we are looking for a Course Administration Management Training Coordinator to join our team at the Defence Academy. This is a new and unique role in that you will be working independently for the Emergency Planning College (EPC) based in York, YO61 3EG. You will be responsible for all aspects of the EPC International and Domestic Business and events through the end-to-end sales process, from first customer contact, processing bookings to post-delivery communication, payment, and any ongoing support.

 

This is a hybrid role which allows for home-based working most of the time or based on site at the Defence Academy depending on the successful candidate's preference. There is also the opportunity to travel for meetings and to work on site at the EPC to establish an understanding of the role requirements, meet the team and key stakeholders.

 

It is a requirement of the role that you will need to achieve SC Clearance and specific contract vetting.

 

Main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day customer communication activities for the EPC.
  • Support the Training Delivery Manager with key stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure all opportunities are captured onto the EPC systems as appropriate using AccessPlanit and Dynamics.
  • Support the development of bids, proposals, and solutions as part of the Serco business lifecycle.
  • Responsible for the coordinator, preparation, and scheduling of customers for all face to face, online and e-learning events.
  • Manage the administration of effective service delivery.
  • Management and delivery of the EPC's virtual classroom and Connected Learning Suite.
  • Coordination of resources required and liaison with external stakeholders (e.g. trainer, technology, interpreter, T&S, training venue, etc…)

 

What you'll need to do the role:

  • A professional individual with proven track record of problem-solving skills.
  • A forward thinker, with strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to be one-step-ahead.
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent grammar and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain the currency and accuracy of information.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative.
  • Customer, key stakeholder, and delivery team diary management.
  • Governance of meetings and actions taken forward.
  • Focus on client reporting, with effective data processing and analysis.
  • PC literate with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft and other commonly used IT packages.
  • Previous experience/knowledge of Microsoft Project would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels, using a variety of communication methods.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, under pressure, with conflicting demands of customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and commitment to high quality and standards.

 

This role will be hybrid with a base at the Defence Academy. The Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland. The Academy trains the future commanders and staff officers of all three UK Armed Services and those from many countries around the world.  Serco at the Defence Academy provides Facilities Management across all aspects of the site including Estates, Logistics, various Supporting Services, together with Cleaning, Catering and Waste Management through ESS. Other benefits of working on this site include:
