Variable Hours Lecturer - Singing

We are currently seeking a talented Singing and Voice Variable hours Lecturer - Singing to deliver and assess ensemble singing technique classes that build upon students’ repertoire for our Level 3 Musical Theatre course and working towards Musical Theatre shows. This role is based at our Amersham Campus.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Promote high levels of student ambition leading to positive progression
  • Plan and develop highly effective teaching in subjects areas required
  • Contribute to the colleges pursuit of excellence by delivering high quality teaching
  • Plan and deliver highly effective learning programmes for diverse and individual students, ensuring they are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential
  • Teach singing to a high level to Musical Theatre students at Level 3 and above.
  • Assist in organising and directing shows to a high standard and/or act as Musical Director
  • It would be an advantage if you have piano accompanist skills.

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation’s Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.

 

As industry professionals we offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn ‘on the job’. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
