Welder

Company based in Shirrell Heath - near Botley
Fantastic opportunity to join a market leading manufacturing company on a permanent basis offering career progression and training and development.
Due to continued growth and expansion, our clients are looking to recruit a Welder/Fabricator with a background in medium to heavy duty steel fabrication.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work within the current team of welders in the manufacturing of high-quality agricultural machinery, manufacturing both sub and main assemblies.
Duties:

• MIG welding both sub and main assemblies either on a fabrication JIG or freehand.
• Sanding\Grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish.
• Any other reasonable duties.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work on your own or as part of a team and to relay clear & accurate information onto other staff members.
• Prompt timekeeping - both personally and with regards to meeting strict production deadlines.
• A clear understanding of H&S within a busy factory.
• A high level of attention to detail on all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring exacting standards are met.
• A pro-active attitude to problem solving.

Qualifications:

• A proven track record with MIG welding experience in medium to heavy duty steel fabrication.
• An ability to interpret both 3rd angle engineering drawings and weld symbols to ensure that all products are built to specification & within tolerance.

Physical Requirements:
This role will include the lifting of steel components as well as standing for long periods of time and so it is expected that the applicant will be of a physical condition that befits the role.
Working Hours:
07:30 - 16:00 (Overtime Available)
