Accounts Administrator

🕒 Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
💰 Salary: Up to £36,901.09 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our client in their Finance team. Based at their Leyland facility, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile sales and purchase ledger accounts
- Administer payroll processes and support finance operations
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently
- Perform account and bank reconciliations
- Monitor financial KPIs including match rates and retrospective purchase orders
- Prepare and reconcile financial data across recyclates, offtake income, and payroll
- Generate accurate invoices and maintain supplier statements
- Support budget planning, forecasting, and month-end close activities
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- AAT Level 2 (required) and currently studying towards or holding AAT Level 3
- Solid understanding of financial cycles, systems, and governance
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., CODA or similar)
- Proficiency in ledger management, payroll, treasury, and general ledger functions
- Experience supporting external audits
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with payroll systems such as TMS and Flexipay
