🕒 Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

💰 Salary: Up to £36,901.09 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our client in their Finance team. Based at their Leyland facility, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile sales and purchase ledger accounts
  • Administer payroll processes and support finance operations
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently
  • Perform account and bank reconciliations
  • Monitor financial KPIs including match rates and retrospective purchase orders
  • Prepare and reconcile financial data across recyclates, offtake income, and payroll
  • Generate accurate invoices and maintain supplier statements
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and month-end close activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • AAT Level 2 (required) and currently studying towards or holding AAT Level 3
  • Solid understanding of financial cycles, systems, and governance
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., CODA or similar)
  • Proficiency in ledger management, payroll, treasury, and general ledger functions
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with payroll systems such as TMS and Flexipay
