Assembly Operatives - Belper

Must have own transport to get to Belper if not local, due to start and finish times of shifts. There is free parking on site.

We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced, Production/Assembly Operatives to work within the water heating system industry building boilers. You will be working for a worldwide leader within the manufacturing sectors.

Our client is based within Belper, and has excellent working conditions, can offer full time ongoing work, fantastic pay rates, you are not just treated as a number. Shift and pay details:

The site runs their shifts on shift rotations, - one week on days, one week on afternoons and one week on nights so flexibility will be required.

Monday to Friday

06:00 - 14:30 (Early finish of noon on Friday) - £14.05 - £17.75 per hour

14:00 - 23:00 (Early finish of 6pm on a Friday) - £16.02 - £19.72 per hour

Nights Sunday - Thursday

Sunday 20:30am - 6am

Monday - Thursday 23:00 - 06:00am - £17.05 -£20.75 per hour

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

- Set up and use machinery, as well as working with hand tools

- Working on an assembly line, putting goods together in a factory environment

- Completing tasks in a specific section of an assembly line, whilst meeting 90s-time targets

- Report any issues with machinery or goods on the assembly line

- Working safely at all times and making sure you meet health and safety requirements

- As you gain more experience and responsibility, you may be required to train or mentor new members of staff or run specific sections

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for candidates with past assembly production experience, but we do understand some transferable skills may make you suitable for the role.

- The ability to maintain concentration and focus on highly repetitive tasks/workload

- Good communication skills and work well within a team

- A strong eye for detail, this is to be able to perform a task consistently, and notice any mistakes that the individual, the machine, or colleagues make

- Able to consistently learn and implement quality assurance

- Able to ask for help and follow procedures safely

- Able to listen carefully to instructions and carrying them out specifically and in the correct order

- A high level of dexterity and be good with your hands

- Self-motivated and driven by targets

- Reliable and punctual for every shift

- Able to take a methodical approach and learn on the job

-Hand tool/powered tool experience - if you have experience working in an engineering, mechanical back ground this would be preferred but not essential
