School Attendance Assistant

Location: Dudley

Hours: Monday to Friday 30-37.5 hours

Start Date: Immediate

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an experienced Attendance Assistant to join a school in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, organised professional looking to take the next step in their career within the education sector.

We are seeking a reliable and punctual individual with strong administrative skills who can support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy school office and attendance team

Job role includes:

Attendance Support: Supporting the attendance officer - monitoring daily student attendance, tracking punctuality, and acting as the first point of contact for unexplained absences.
Compliance & Safeguarding: Support school safeguarding processes, policies, and compliance requirements
Data Administration: Efficient use of Arbor MIS, correctly recording student and staff absences
Parental Liaison: Communicating with parents/carers regarding absences and educating them on the importance of punctuality and attendance.
Administration Duties: Answering telephone calls, managing emails, filing paperwork, and general office administration

What we're looking for:

Previous experience working in a school office within the attendance team
Proven experience with Arbor MIS
Strong IT and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Enhanced DBS certificate (issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service)
