Band Knife Operative - Glossop (SK13)

• Cutting polyurethane foam to precise measurements required for technical accurate testing.
• Completing daily safety checks, pre‑start checks and recording all daily check sheets.
• Carrying out blade alignment, tension checks, safety guard checks and calibration (weekly or as required).
• Reading production orders and cutting specifications to ensure accuracy for each batch.
• Replacing blades when needed and reporting any mechanical issues.
• Quality checking cut pieces to ensure they meet Carpenter's standards for size, shape and finish.
• Manual handling of foam blocks and materials, moving them safely to and from the cutting area.
• Keeping the cutting area clean, removing off‑cuts and maintaining safe working conditions around fast‑moving blades.
• Working closely with the Quality Team to meet daily targets and support workflow.
