Battery Recycling Operative

Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Battery Recycling Operative (automotive/voltage) to join our clients team based in the Llanelli area.

Salary: £26,499 p.a (Monthly pay)

Hours of work: 40 hours pw working Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00

Contract: Permanent

Main Responsibilities:

· Process automotive high voltage lithium-ion batteries and battery scrap materials through the safe operation of our battery recycling equipment & machinery

· Perform battery inspections, discharging, testing, crushing and output of battery materials

· Liaise with engineers and team members to develop and improve our in-house processes

· Workshop management (e.g. PPE is checked and used correctly, machinery is not misused)

· Assist with the monitoring of waste quantities and outputted products (e.g. black mass)

· Ensure that all processes are followed correctly to tight deadlines

Skills required:

· Experience of working in a warehouse/yard environment

· Safety-first approach to work is essential

· Excellent attention to detail and a great work ethic

· Methodological approach to tasks and ability to work in an orderly, disciplined manner

· Great communication skills (Clear written and verbal communication is essential)

· Physically able to carry out manual tasks: The role is a very Physical role

· Able to understand and follow processes and safe systems of work (SSOW)

Desirable:

· Experience of electronics and/or Hazardous high voltage experience and awareness (training is provided)

· Forklift counterbalance experience but training will be provided

· 3 A-Levels and/or a technical level qualification (e.g. vocational course)

· UK Drivers Licence
