Bus Driver with Caring Duties
Location: Antrim and/or Magherafelt
Salary: £12.31/hour
Hours: 37.5 hours

Your Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect and transport clients - including older adults and individuals with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities - to Adult/Day Care facilities, classes, outings, and community events.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (fuel, oil, water, tyres, cleaning, minor repairs, puncture changes).
- Operate tail lifts safely (full training provided).
- Ensure wheelchair users are secured using approved restraint systems.
- Maintain accurate daily and monthly vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel usage, passenger numbers, and loading details.
- Support with loading/unloading and deliver essential supplies such as meals, bedding, equipment, laundry, and other items as required.
Caring & Client Support
- Assist clients with mobility and comfort needs, including boarding and exiting the vehicle, supporting wheelchair users, and small tasks like fastening clothing or switching off appliances.
- Provide minor first aid when needed (no certificate required).
- Support Care Assistants during day centre activities, outings, and functions (e.g., serving meals).
- Assist in emergency evacuations and provide transport support alongside the ambulance service.
What You Need
- Enhanced Access NI
- Category D (bus) Licence with no restrictions
- Valid CPC Card
