Class 1 Driver

We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing trunking work with XPO, supporting a leading pharmaceutical distribution operation. Day, night and weekend shifts are available, with guaranteed routes, immediate starts, new pass support and excellent peak rates through to the end of 2026.

Role Overview

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will complete trunking deliveries between RDCs and customer sites across the UK. This is a professional, safety-focused operation offering pre-planned routes, no handball and regular ongoing work with a modern fleet.

Shift Patterns

AM Shifts

• Start times between 02:00 - 08:00

PM Shifts

• Start times between 13:00 - 17:45

Night Shifts

• Start times between 19:00 - 23:00

Weekend Shifts

• Weekend work available
• Pre-booked and guaranteed routes

Pay and Benefits

Peak Rates Available from 10th August 2026 to 31st December 2026

Days

• £17.40 per hour
• PAYE
• Holiday pay accrual

Nights

• £18.45 per hour
• PAYE
• Holiday pay accrual

Weekends

• £24.00 per hour
• PAYE
• Holiday pay accrual

Responsibilities

• Complete Class 1 trunking deliveries between RDCs and customer locations
• Follow pre-planned routes and delivery schedules
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensure compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Operate safely and professionally at all times
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
