Class 1 HGV Driver (Temp to Perm) - Castle Donington

We are currently recruiting 4 Class 1 HGV Drivers for a leading logistics operation based in Castle Donington (DE72). This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering paid training, ongoing support, and the chance to secure a permanent position after 13 weeks.

The operation will eventually relocate to Bardon, so applicants must be able to travel to both locations in the future.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out deliveries and collections across various routes
• Delivering refrigerated products to stores and distribution locations
• Completing flatbed work and securing loads correctly
• Conducting daily vehicle and walkaround checks
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues promptly
• Completing delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
• Maintaining communication with the transport team regarding delays or issues
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and professionally

Shift Patterns Available

We have a variety of shifts available, including:

• 4 on 4 off
• 6 on 2 off
• 5 on 3 off
• 2 Days / 2 Nights rotating patterns

Start times between 03:00 and 12:00

Average shifts are 7.5 to 10 hours per day.

Full Paid Training Programme

Whether you're experienced or newly qualified, you'll receive a comprehensive training package, including:

• Driver assessment and induction
• 1 day warehouse familiarisation loading vehicles
• Buddy shift with an experienced driver
• 4 days of fully paid training

Newly passed Class 1 drivers are encouraged to apply, with full support provided to help build confidence and experience.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Ability to commute to Castle Donington (DE72) and travel to Bardon when the operation relocates
