Class 1 Driver - Drayman

Class 1 - ongoing work until at least January 2026 with the opportunity to go perm

The role available is based in the South Shields area.

For this you will generally be starting at 06:00 and completing local deliveries of beer and alcohol products, including kegs into cellars.

Your working week is Monday - Friday however some Saturday work will be required to fit the needs of the business at busy times, including on the run up to Christmas.

Competitive rates are available:

£15.50 - Standard Hours up to 45

£23.25 - Overtime after 40 and weekends

It is mandatory as part of the role to undertake a drugs and alcohol test prior to starting your first shift, as well as this you will also be required to do a driving assessment.

Due to the nature of the work, a good level of physical fitness is required due to the need to handball kegs and other products.

Additionally you will also be going to small enclosed space to deliver kegs.

In order to process your application you must have the following:

* HGV Class 1 entitlement

* CPC

* Digi tacho card

Additionally some clients may require:

* Maximum of 6 points of the licence
