We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for an exciting seasonal opportunity supporting the Royal Mail Taskforce Project during its busiest period of the year.

This is a unique opportunity to secure regular work throughout the festive season while staying in fully paid 4-star and 5-star hotel accommodation, with additional bonuses, expenses, and excellent hourly rates available.

What's on Offer?

• Up to £24.57 per hour (depending on shift pattern)
• £240 per week completion bonus, paid at the end of the assignment for drivers who complete the full project
• Fully paid hotel accommodation for the duration of the assignment
• Accommodation provided in locations such as Stoke, the Midlands, Scotland, and Milton Keynes
• Two meals per day included
• £15 per day (£105 per week) tax-free expenses allowance
• Mileage paid to and from your allocated hotel at the start and end of the assignment
• Consistent work with 5-6 shifts per week
• Paid Royal Mail driving assessment (upon successful completion)

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be supporting Royal Mail's peak-season operation, carrying mail and parcels between distribution centres across the UK.

Duties will include:

• Safe and efficient trunking deliveries
• Vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring compliance with all Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
• Maintaining professional standards and representing Royal Mail positively
• Accurately completing all required paperwork and electronic records

Accommodation Information

Drivers will be required to stay away from home for the duration of the assignment.

Hotel accommodation will be allocated by the client and may be based in:

• Stoke-on-Trent
• Midlands locations
• Milton Keynes
• Scotland

While preferences will be considered where possible, accommodation locations cannot be guaranteed and will be allocated based on operational requirements.

Please note: To qualify for this project, candidates must live at least 60 miles away from the hotel location they are assigned.

Flexibility Required

This is a high-demand seasonal project and requires complete flexibility.

Successful candidates must:

• Be available to work any 5 or 6 shifts per week
• Be willing to work weekends, late shifts, and night shifts
• Have full availability throughout the assignment period
• Be available to work Bank Holidays over the Christmas period if required (excluding Christmas Day)
• Not book or take holidays during the assignment

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of Driver Hours regulations
• A professional and flexible approach to work
• The ability to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment

Assessment Process

All drivers must successfully complete a paid Royal Mail driving assessment before starting. Assessments can be arranged at a Royal Mail site or VOC location as close to your home as possible.
