Class 1 Driver Jobs - Royal Mail Peak Season 2026

This is an excellent opportunity to work on behalf of one of the UK's most recognised logistics operations, carrying out predominantly trunking work between Royal Mail distribution centres, mail hubs and regional depots.

£20.82 - £26.95 per hour PAYE

The Role

As a Royal Mail Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Trunking deliveries between Royal Mail hubs and distribution centres
• Depot-to-depot deliveries
• Curtainside and box trailer work
• Minimal manual handling
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
• Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Representing both Blue Arrow and Royal Mail to the highest standards

Royal Mail Driver Requirements

To be considered for a Royal Mail driving role, applicants must:

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence for a minimum of 12 months
• Have a minimum of 180 days (6 months) HGV driving experience
• Hold a valid Driver CPC, DQC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week
• Have no unspent criminal convictions
• Have no more than 6 licence points, with endorsements falling within Royal Mail approved criteria
• Complete a Returning Worker Check if previously employed or assessed by Royal Mail
• Have matching names on driving licence and proof of right to work documentation

Driver Assessments

Driver assessments are expected to commence from mid-October onwards.

We encourage drivers to register their interest early, as Peak opportunities are expected to be in high demand across all locations.
