Cleaner

Blue Arrow are recruiting for Cleaners to work at a school based in Fulford, York.

🧹 Core Duties:

* Classroom & Office Cleaning
* Wipe desks, chairs, and skirting boards
* Vacuum carpeted areas and sweep hard floors
* Dust surfaces and remove cobwebs
* Toilets & Washrooms
* Clean sinks, toilets, and mirrors
* Replenish toiletries (soap, toilet paper, paper towels)
* Disinfect high-touch areas like taps and door handles
* Corridors, Halls & Communal Areas
* Mop floors and polish where required
* Spot clean spillages immediately
* Empty bins and dispose of waste safely
* Windows & Doors
* Clean glass panels, doors, and frames
* Ensure visibility and hygiene standards are met
* Equipment & Materials
* Operate cleaning machinery (vacuum cleaners, polishers)
* Store equipment securely and keep storage areas tidy
* Use cleaning products according to safety instructions
* Health & Safety
* Follow hygiene and safety protocols
* Report hazards, defects, or damages to the caretaker/site manager
* Maintain awareness of safeguarding responsibilities in a school environment

Candidates must have previous cleaning experience.
Candidates must have an enhanced DBS check or be willing to pay for one.

We have the following shifts available:

Cleaners:
Monday - Friday 6am-8am - 8 hours per week
Monday - Thursday 2pm-7pm & Friday 1:30pm-5:30pm - 24 hours per week


The pay rate is £12.21 per hour


Ongoing work leading to permanent for the right candidates.
