CNC Miller/Turner

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting a CNC Miller/Turner based in the Tyne and Wear area. The successful candidate will be proficient in programming, setting, and operating CNC Mazak machinery.

My client is a well‑established precision engineering company, specialising in the manufacture of high‑quality machined components for a range of industrial sectors. With a strong focus on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement, the business has built a solid reputation for delivering to exacting standards and supporting long‑term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating a Mazak multitasking machine
• Programming directly from engineering drawings
• Machining high-precision components in a sub‑contract manufacturing environment
• Quality inspection after each completed job
• Working with both milling and turning operations
• Ensuring components meet tight tolerances and quality standards
• Contributing to continuous improvement and efficient production processes

Salary:

• £39k per annum
• Time and a half overtime

Role:

• Monday-Thursday
• 40hrs per week
• Full time only
• Permanent job
• Immediate start
