D1 Driver - Staff Transport Service

About the Role

Due to the relocation of one of our wards from Carseview Centre to Murray Royal Hospital, we are establishing a dedicated staff transport service. We are now seeking a reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused D1‑licensed Driver to support staff travel between the two sites.

This role is essential in ensuring our teams can travel safely and efficiently at the start and end of their shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff from Carseview Centre, Dundee, to Murray Royal Hospital, Perth, and back.
• Operate a minibus‑style vehicle (Mercedes Vito or similar).
• Ensure all journeys run on schedule.
• Provide a professional, courteous service to all staff passengers.
• Carry out basic daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records as required.

Shift Pattern & Journey Times

This service operates 7 days per week with morning and evening transport runs.

Morning Run

• Driver start time: 06:30
• Pick‑up at Carseview: 06:45
• Drop‑off at Murray Royal for 07:30 staff start time
• Return pick‑up at Murray Royal: 08:30
• Drop‑off at Carseview

Evening Run

• Driver start time: 18:30
• Pick‑up at Carseview: 18:45
• Drop‑off at Murray Royal for 19:30 staff start time
• Return pick‑up at Murray Royal: 20:00
• Drop‑off at Carseview

Requirements

• D1 driving licence (mandatory) enabling the operation of a minibus‑style vehicle.
• Strong awareness of road safety and responsibility for passenger welfare.
• Excellent time‑management and reliability.
• Good communication skills and professional conduct.
• Experience driving similar vehicles is desirable.
