A leading independent school in Oxfordshire is seeking an exceptional Director of Admissions & Marketing to join its Senior Leadership Team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a respected school and to play a central role in welcoming families into a warm, ambitious, and values‑led community.

About the Role

As Director of Admissions & Marketing, you will oversee the complete admissions journey-from first enquiry through to enrolment-ensuring every family experiences a personalised, thoughtful, and seamless introduction to the school. You will lead the school's brand and communications strategy with sensitivity and precision, ensuring messaging remains distinctive, consistent, and aligned with the school's ethos.

Working closely with the Principal and senior colleagues, you will develop and deliver a forward‑thinking MAC strategy, informed by market insight, digital trends, and data‑driven decision‑making. You will lead a dedicated team, coaching and inspiring them to deliver excellence across admissions, marketing, digital, communications, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute the school's admissions and marketing strategy to support enrolment goals.
  • Ensure outstanding family experiences at every stage of the admissions journey.
  • Develop a refined and distinctive brand presence across all channels.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, data integrity, and CRM excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing MAC team.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally, including with feeder schools, partners, and international networks.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Oversee digital experience, communications quality, and engagement activity.
