Dispatch Packing Operative

Location: Tunstall, ST6

Pay & Hours:

• £13.25 per hour (overtime after 37 hours at time and a half)
• Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Friday, 7:30am to 12:30pm

Contract: Temporary to permanent opportunities available for the right candidates.

We're recruiting Dispatch Packing Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business in Tunstall. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in ensuring products are packed, checked and dispatched accurately. The role involves manual handling and physical work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day.

Key Duties

• Packing finished products ready for dispatch
• Picking orders accurately from stock
• Quality checking products before packaging
• Labelling and preparing goods for shipment
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Palletising and wrapping products
• Maintaining stock accuracy and organisation
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

This is a physically active role that involves standing for long periods and carrying out regular manual handling duties.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, dispatch, packing or manufacturing experience preferred
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Good English and numeracy skills
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and willing to learn new processes

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
