Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Technician to join a dedicated team delivering, installing, and maintaining essential telecare and community equipment. This is a mobile, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, being out on the road, and making a meaningful impact in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect equipment to and from service users in a safe and professional manner
- Install, repair, and replace equipment using appropriate tools and safety procedures
- Carry out routine servicing, battery replacements, and safety checks
- Respond to emergency call-outs as part of an on-call rota
- Maintain the company van, including cleanliness, mileage logs, and fuel usage
- Use handheld scanners to track equipment, collect signatures, and report issues
- Support stock checks and manage tools and equipment responsibly
Candidate Profile
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication skills and a caring, professional attitude
- Good DIY, mechanical, or technical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident navigating routes and reading maps
- Flexible, reliable, and motivated approach
Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience driving vans and interacting with the public
- Previous experience in field service, maintenance, or installation roles (preferred)
Qualifications:
- GCSE-level education or equivalent (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (required)
