EHC Plan Writer - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan Writer to support a local authority on a remote basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in drafting, amending, and reviewing EHCPs, with no casework duties involved.

Key Details

• Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-17:00 (37 hours a week)
• Pay Rate: approx. £17.89 per hour
• Location: Fully Remote
• Role: EHC Plan Writer
• No caseworker duties required
• Contract: Temporary

Responsibilities

• Write high‑quality, legally compliant Education, Health and Care Plans.
• Undertake amendments, updates, and annual review changes.
• Collate and interpret reports from education, health, and social care professionals.
• Ensure all EHCPs meet statutory requirements and reflect the needs and aspirations of the child or young person.
• Work effectively within EHCP timelines and processes.

Experience Required

• Proven experience writing EHCPs, including amendments and annual reviews.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory EHCP processes.
• IDOX experience is preferable.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
