Typical Responsibilities
Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing engineering equipment and machinery.
- Working from engineering drawings, technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Conducting inspections and reporting equipment defects.
- Supporting equipment reliability and operational performance.
- Completing maintenance records and job documentation accurately.
- Using diagnostic and testing equipment to identify faults.
- Working safely in accordance with site health and safety procedures.
- Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Maintaining diesel-powered equipment, generators, engines and specialist machinery.
- Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Recognised Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Experience within engineering, maintenance, manufacturing or technical environments.
- Mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work from technical documentation.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, systems and technologies.
