Environmental Health Officer needed!!
* Salary: £20.66 per hour
* Location: Exeter, EX1
* Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
* Till December 2025 with the possibility of extension
EHO - food hygiene inspections.
Practical experience in general environmental health enforcement
Experience of dealing with complaints/enquiries from members of the public
Experience in maintaining record systems and statutory enforcement procedures
Experience of letter writing
Experience of problem solving
Evidence of managing time/workload:
o Ability to prioritise work
o Able to work as part of a team
o Working knowledge of computers and commonly used software
o Experience or working within Environmental Health Services with a particular knowledge in the area or the work covered by the post e.g. noise/pollution/contaminated land
o Understanding of broader environmental issues
Must have -
BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB Certificate of Registration or equivalent
Able to produce clear and accurate reports
Able to comply with detailed instructions
Good investigative skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Completed a minimum of 20 hours relevant CPD in the last year
Full driving licence
