Here at HMP Dovegate we have an exciting opportunity to join our education team as a Exams Administrator. Are you self-motivated and able to work independently? Do you have excellent organisational skills? This may be the role for you. You will, coordinate, administer, maintain and develop the examinations and quality assurance practices for the education and training department at HMP Dovegate. Completion of all, paperwork required meeting internal and external audit requirements.
Following the guidance issued by both the Awarding Body and the College with regard to assessment practice and the completion of documentation. Full compliance with the establishment's Quality Assurance systems to ensure consistency and continuous improvement, liaising with appropriate staff to ensure that systems in support of assessment, verification and additional support are fully implemented.
Guiding and supporting assessors to ensure quality and consistency of assessment while undertaking staff development appropriate to the contractual requirements of the post and the needs of the provision.
The invigilation of exams is also a key role of this post, and as such involves prisoner contact. As the needs of the College change so the job profile, duties, and location of the role within the College may be adjusted accordingly.
Key Accountabilities
Qualifications:
ECDL/Computer Qualifications at Level 2
Grade C, Level 2 equivalent or above in Maths and English
Proven track record in roles requiring strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.
Proactive in identifying and implementing solutions to challenges.
Collaborative team player with a history of building strong, effective working relationships.
Experience within a custodial environment is desirable and considered an asset.
Skilled in developing and maintaining productive working relationships across teams.
Accurate and efficient in data entry with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in a range of office-based computer applications.
Takes initiative in self-directed learning and professional development to meet evolving needs.
Builds and maintains effective internal and external partnerships.
Works closely with education staff to support learning and operational goals.
Demonstrates innovation by streamlining practices and improving workflows.
Keeps up to date with curriculum developments and requirements from awarding bodies, JCQ, and Ofsted.
Maintains strict compliance with Data Protection and security protocols.
Completes all mandatory training within required timeframes.
Excellent IT, written, and oral communication skills.
Confident in leading meetings and facilitating team discussions.
Brings enthusiasm and motivation to target-driven environments.
