🌟 About the Role

Blue Arrow is recruiting experienced Fabrication & Assembly Operatives, Manufacturing Operatives, Production Operatives, Mechanical Assemblers, Factory Operatives and Skilled Engineering Operatives to join a leading manufacturer within the heating and hot water industry.

Based at a modern manufacturing facility in Derby, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality, engineered products using a combination of fabrication, welding, assembly, quality inspection and production techniques.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates from manufacturing, engineering, production, fabrication, sheet metal, welding, mechanical assembly, automotive, aerospace, industrial, warehousing or factory environments looking for a long-term career with a growing employer.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK AT LEAST 38 PER WEEK ON ONGOING BASIS AND AVAILABLE FOR 3 SHIFT ROTATION.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication of metal components including cutting, shaping, grinding and welding
• Mechanical assembly and production line assembly of manufactured products
• Reading and following technical drawings, work instructions and engineering specifications
• Operating machinery, hand tools and power tools safely
• Quality inspection, testing and quality control checks
• Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
• Maintaining health and safety standards across the production environment
• Meeting production targets and manufacturing deadlines
• Conducting visual inspections and reporting defects
• Working within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment

✅ Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in Fabrication, Assembly, Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Welding, Mechanical Assembly, Machine Operation or Factory Work
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
• Understanding of quality assurance and quality inspection procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Candidates with backgrounds as Production Operatives, Manufacturing Operatives, Machine Operatives, Assemblers, Mechanical Fitters, Welders, Engineering Operatives, Sheet Metal Workers, Skilled Labourers, Factory Operatives or Production Technicians are encouraged to apply.

🕒 Shift Patterns & Pay Rates

IT IS A 3 SHIFT ROTATION - NO OTHER OPTION AVAILABLE - PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING

Day Shift

Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30

Friday: 06:00 - 12:00

💷 Starting Rate: £14.05 per hour

📈 Progressing Up To: £17.75 per hour

Afternoon Shift

Monday to Thursday: 14:30 - 23:00

Friday: 12:00 - 18:00

💷 Starting Rate: £16.02 per hour

📈 Progressing Up To: £19.72 per hour

Night Shift

Sunday: 20:30 - 06:00

Monday to Thursday: 23:00 - 06:00

💷 Starting Rate: £17.05 per hour

📈 Progressing Up To: £20.75 per hour
