As a Facilities Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring buildings, services, contractors, and workplace operations are managed effectively. You'll balance operational performance, compliance, stakeholder satisfaction, and cost control whilst creating environments where people can work safely, productively, and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee the day-to-day management of facilities, estates, buildings, and workplace services
• Manage hard and soft FM services, ensuring operational standards are consistently achieved
• Lead contractor and supplier relationships, monitoring service delivery against agreed KPIs and SLAs
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, statutory requirements, and industry regulations
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive maintenance activities
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain safe and compliant environments
• Monitor facilities budgets, expenditure, and service contracts to maximise value and control costs
• Support workplace projects, office relocations, refurbishments, and capital improvement programmes
• Investigate operational issues and implement effective corrective actions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, occupiers, employees, customers, and suppliers
• Analyse facilities performance data and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency
• Lead sustainability, energy management, and continuous improvement initiatives where applicable
• Support business continuity planning and emergency response procedures

Skills & Experience

We're interested in professionals who can demonstrate experience in some of the following areas:

• Facilities Management, Estates Management, Building Management, Property Management, or Operational Management experience
• Managing hard and soft FM service contracts
• Health & Safety, statutory compliance, and risk management
• Contractor, supplier, and vendor management
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance coordination
• Budget management, cost control, and contract negotiation
• Building services, infrastructure, and workplace operations knowledge
• Compliance frameworks including H&S, Fire Safety, Risk Assessments, COSHH, and contractor control processes
• SLA and KPI performance management
• Experience within corporate, manufacturing, logistics, retail, healthcare, education, or commercial property environments
• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
• IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM, or equivalent qualifications desirable
