IT Network Field Support Engineer

Scotland | 6-Month Temporary Contract

We are recruiting for an IT Network Field Support Engineer to support a major SD-WAN rollout project across multiple sites throughout Scotland. Working alongside an established Network Infrastructure team, you'll play a key role in delivering network upgrades, supporting installations, and maintaining critical IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the rollout of SD-WAN technology across the estate.
• Coordinate site surveys and installation activities with suppliers and telecoms providers.
• Install and configure network hardware.
• Carry out IT infrastructure surveys and documentation.
• Maintain communications cabinets and troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Support ongoing IT projects and business-as-usual network activities.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting IT infrastructure or networking environments.
• Knowledge of IP networking principles.
• Experience with fibre and copper cabling.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Full UK driving licence.

• SD-WAN experience.
• CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation or similar certifications.
• Experience within rail, utilities, or other operational environments.
