Belper (Relocating to Kirkby-in-Ashfield)

Temp to Perm Opportunity

We are currently seeking a FLT / Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing team on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is a hands-on role that combines forklift truck operation with production and labouring duties. Approximately 30% of your time will be spent operating a Counterbalance FLT, with the remaining 70% dedicated to production and general operative duties.

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday

06:30am - 4:30pm

Pay Rate

£13.39 - £14.84 per hour (depending on experience)

Location

The successful candidate must be willing to work from the Belper site until the end of August, after which the operation will permanently relocate to Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

Key Responsibilities

Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
Loading and unloading materials
Decanting powder bags
General labouring and production duties
Labelling and preparing boxes for dispatch
Yard cleaning and housekeeping
Supporting the manufacturing team with day-to-day operations
Heavy lifting and manual handling

Candidate Requirements

Valid, in-date accredited Counterbalance FLT Licence (essential)
Previous FLT experience
Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
Willing to undertake dirty, hands-on work
Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Able to travel to Belper initially and Kirkby-in-Ashfield following the site relocation
