Permanent vacancy - Group Health and Safety Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000

Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their busy team. We are looking for experience so that you can run with this role to the highest of standard. Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation
- Experience in safety, health, environment, and quality management
- Previous experience in preparing and undertaking ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001audits
- Excellent communicator at all levels and the functions of the business
- Self-managed and motivated
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are essential
- Good level of PC literacy, Microsoft Office and online portals
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent references
- Strong organisational skills
- Team-working skills
- Able to prepare for annual audits
- Complete site-specific RAMS
- Complete COSHH assessments
- Arranging Training courses and ensuring all training is up to date
- Accident and incident investigation and follow up actions.
- Compiling Construction Phase Plans and Traffic management plans
- Risk Assessments and Method statements
- COSHH assessments
- Subcontractor management
- Office health safety & fire management (first aid boxes, extinguishers, fire alarms etc)
- H&S questions and queries
- H&S Inductions for new engineers
- H&S meetings
- Inducting new staff & sub-contractors
- Toolbox talks
- Updating portal compliance (Constructionline, Safe Contractor, Avetta)
Requirements
- Health and safety: 2 years
- CSCS (Desirable)
- IOSH membership (or willing to achieve)
- Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate or Construction certificate
- Full Driving Licence
- ISO 9001 experience (Desirable)
- ISO14001 experience (Desirable)
- ISO 45001experience (Desirable)
- CDM 2015 awareness
- Experience in compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Experience in compiling COSHH Assessments
