Blue Arrow are recruiting on behalf of our client in St Ives for experienced and reliable Class 1 Day Drivers. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking consistent daytime work with the potential for long‑term progression.
About the Role
- Monday to Friday - Days Only
- No weekends, no bank holidays, no planned nights out
- Start times typically between 6:00-8:00 AM
- Average shift length 10-12 hours
- Modern fleet: DAF & Scania articulated or drawbar vehicles
- Delivering concrete building products to:
- Builders Merchants
- Large construction sites
- Residential properties (drawbar crane deliveries)
Qualifications & Experience
- Class 1 licence required
- ALLMI Brick & Block qualification preferred
- Not essential - we can accept a limited number of standard Class 1 drivers
- Upskilling available at our cost for committed drivers looking for long‑term work
Pay & Benefits
- £18.18 per hour for the first 48 hours
- Overtime paid at x1.3
- Temporary positions initially, with the possibility of progressing into permanent employment for the right candidate
- While we cannot guarantee a permanent role or timeframe, many of our full‑time drivers originally joined via agency supply
