Housekeeper / Cleaner (Enhanced DBS Required) - Immediate Start

We are urgently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper/Cleaner to join a dedicated team supporting a childcare/residential setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous cleaning or housekeeping experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, corridors and communal spaces.
• Dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and polishing to a high standard.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste in line with site procedures.
• Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
• Following infection control, safeguarding, health and safety policies at all times.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment to management.
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment and materials are stored safely after use.
• Supporting laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and distributing linen where required.
• Working collaboratively within the housekeeping team and assisting colleagues when needed.

Essential Requirements

✅ Must hold a valid Enhanced Child DBS

✅ Must be a driver with access to a vehicle due to location

✅ Previous cleaning, housekeeping or domestic experience preferred

✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

✅ Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards
