Housekeeping Assistant - Goring-on-Thames Area

Location: Peaceful countryside setting near Goring-on-Thames (Oxfordshire), close to Reading
Salary: Starting from £22,000 per annum
Transport: Own transport essential - no nearby public transport

We are currently seeking two experienced Housekeeping Assistants / Cleaning Operatives to join a dedicated facilities team at a private, well-maintained site in the Goring-on-Thames area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in residential or commercial cleaning, domestic assistance, or facilities maintenance who take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Shift Patterns

Role 1:

• Tuesday to Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
• Saturday: 7:00am - 1:00pm

Role 2:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm

Key Duties

• Perform daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Change bed linens, restock supplies, and maintain a tidy, hygienic environment
• Manage cleaning stock and linen inventory
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and Health & Safety procedures
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager and Deputy with operational tasks

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or facilities support
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable using cleaning equipment
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check
• Own transport due to rural location

Desirable Qualifications:

• COSHH training or certification
• Manual handling awareness
• Experience in private estates, care homes, hospitality, or commercial cleaning environments
