Hygiene Operative

Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organised, and running smoothly? We're looking for a Hygiene Operative to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety within a busy production environment.

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in ensuring production areas and equipment are maintained to the highest hygiene standards, helping to keep operations safe, efficient, and compliant.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out daily cleaning duties in line with site hygiene schedules
• Deep cleaning machinery and equipment, including strip-down and reassembly (full training provided)
• Cleaning production areas, including sweeping, mopping, washing trays and racks, and managing waste disposal
• Operating cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, hot hoses, and industrial vacuums (training provided)
• Following cleaning procedures, work instructions, and company standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times
• Reporting any hygiene, safety, or equipment concerns promptly

What we're looking for

• A reliable and hardworking individual with a strong work ethic
• Someone who takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work to high standards
• A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues when needed
• Good time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Previous cleaning, hygiene, production, manufacturing, or industrial experience would be beneficial, but not essential

Health & Safety

An understanding of Health & Safety procedures, COSHH regulations, and the safe use of cleaning chemicals would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
